vNode DNP3 Client Module

How to pull data from your DNP3
substation environments?

DNP3 or Distribute Network Protocol, became an standard in 1993 by the famous GE=Harris company, known as Westronic, based on the IEC 60870-5, there was a need to created a standard that allow interoperability between SCADAs under the electrical field.

How does DNP3 protocol contribute to our implementations?

  • Reduce requests and optimize bandwidth by using Unsolicited messages.
  • Perform Priority messages according to data types defined on 3 classes.
  • Time synchronization of the stations.
  • Timestamp directly from the station.
  • Provides reliability on the data thanks to the buffering option for data lost.

Why should I need to pull DNP3 data?

Control / SCADA integration / Data Analytics / Visualization / Device interoperability

What’s vNode Automation platform role on DNP3 connectivity?

vNode is an Industrial IIoT gateway that collects plant floor data in many protocols, including DNP3, and export it or link it over multiple IT or OT applications and protocols.

vNode DNP3 Client module, will act as a Master by connecting directly to any DNP3 station and use the upcoming data to be shared within SCADAS, Remote Units, Controllers, IT applications, Data Bases, or even to the Cloud.

We do connect vNode DNP3 Module
to many vendors such as
